BBC Wales Club of the 6 Nations!

The club are delighted to announce that Newbridge RFC have been confirmed as ‘BBC’s Club of the 6 Nations!’

The BBC’s Scrum V show will be showing features of Newbridge during the 6 Nations as well as the BBC Wales News. BBC Wales’ producer Emma Cook said “we are delighted to have Newbridge as our club of the 6 Nations. After the recent Legends game, we were very impressed with the organisation of the event, and immediately decided that Newbridge would be an ideal choice.”

After her visit last Thursday, the club has already featured on Scrum V on the radio. Supporters Spike Colbroke and Terry Western were interviewed alone with Craig Porter who was interviewed on Saturday morning on the Back Page programme on Radio Wales.

Watch out for further footage on BBC Wales programmes during the coming weeks.

On Saturday, at a packed clubhouse of over 300 people, cameras were around the club taking footage. This will be filmed on the Monday night flagship BBC Wales News. Newbridge RFC will also be attending the Scrum V studio’s in the coming weeks.
