Newbridge v Abercarn (friendly)

The club are pleased to announce that on the eve of the Wales v South Africa game we’re to entertain local rivals Abercarn in a friendly match (Friday the 23rd of November). Kick-off is at 7.15pm.

It will be an ideal opportunity for both clubs to continue their policy of developing local talent, and continue to forge the excellent links between the clubs.

Many famous names have worn both jerseys, former Wales ‘B’ caps Alun Harries, David Rees and Jonathan Westwood. Most recently well-known former scrum half and Newbridge United stalwart Mike Shepherd is their new team manager.

We wish them all a warm welcome to the Welfare, and look forward to an entertaining clash.
